UPDATED: Pervert Letterman apologizes again ... poorly

Pervert David Letterman tried again to “apologize” for his sexist statutory rape joke. Again he seems to think that putting an age limit on the joke somehow makes it better. Memo to Dave: RAPE IS NEVER FUNNY!

Truth be told, the only reason Letterman is making this lame second attempt is because, Palin took the high road and he is looking like a true partisan pervert. In other words, Dave is feeling the heat.

There is a protest going on today at the Late Show, courtesy of Firedavidletterman.com. Embassy Suites has pulled their advertising. Hardcore lefties from The View (Behar and Whoopie) are siding with Palin. NOW even got off its duff and put Dave in their Hall of Shame. Plus to my surprise, Bonnie Erbe, is siding with Palin!

UPDATE

Palin accept Pervert Dave’s limp apology.

"Of course it's accepted on behalf of young women, like my daughters, who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve.

Letterman certainly has the right to 'joke' about whatever he wants to, and thankfully we have the right to express our reaction. And this is all thanks to our U.S. Military women and men putting their lives on the line for us to secure America's Right to Free Speech - in this case, may that right be used to promote equality and respect."

Governor Sarah Palin

The question now, is do we accept Letterman’s apology? I say, no! Here is why:

1. Letterman’s apology is only coming because he is feeling the heat and not because he is truly sorry. He still makes the lame argument that it is OK, to demean Bristol Palin.

2. Liberals would never ever settle for a lame second apology that came a week late after serious pressure was exerted. They would not be satisfied until some heads rolled. Imus was not fired just because he was a conservative, he was also fired because those asking for his head were known to be relentless in their outrage. Why should we settle for less? Taking the high road simply won’t solve things.

3. The downside of taking the high road, is that it sends the message that you can cross the line and when things getting heated, throw out an apology. It is already happening. Bill Maher showed his pervert side just last night.

4. Pressing on until Dave is gone or a serious shake up happens at CBS or the Late Show will send a chilling effect to people like Dave. Granted they probably will still cross the line sooner or later, but at least there will be precedent that crossing the line doesn’t come cheap.
